About Us

I have been practising law in Christchurch for over 40 years. I have previously been a partner in two Christchurch law firms but, since 2001, I have been operating a small but busy practice from an office on my property at Sabys Road, Halswell.

My interests include watching sport (I love the Crusaders and the All Blacks), reading, duplicate bridge and quizzing. Since 1996, I have been a panellist for the Judicial Control Authority for racing which permits me to indulge in one of my great loves – horse racing. That position involves attending thoroughbred and harness racing meetings in a judicial capacity to hear and adjudicate upon protests and charges brought on that raceday. The position also involves sitting on non-raceday committees to deal with matters not arising on a raceday and also on appeals tribunals.

I like to think of my style of practising law as being relaxed and friendly (no 3-piece pinstripe suit) while, at the same time, maintaining a high level of professionalism and bringing to bear my experience gained in a long career of legal practice.

My areas of work are principally residential conveyancing, wills and enduring powers of attorney, deceased estates and general practice.
